Seerat Kapoor was born on 3 April 1993 in Mombassa, Kenya. Her father, late Vineet Kapoor was a hotelier last at The InterContinental, Marine drive, Mumbai and her mother, Neena Sihota Kapoor, is an airhostess with Air India, by occupation.

She began her career as an Assistant Choreographer for the Ranbir Kapoor starrer, film Rockstar (2011 film).

She made her acting debut with Run Raja Run (Telugu) in the year 2014.

Her elder brother Varun Kapoor is a graduate from National Art School, Sydney, Australia and works as a free-lancer graphic designer, by profession.

Seerat was educated at Mumbai's Podar International School, santacruz and completed her pre-university teachings at R. D. National College, Bandra.

The romantic comedy Run Raja Run, proved to be a major commercial success and Seerat was appreciated in the role of Priya, for her dance skills, screen presence and on screen chemistry with co-star Sharwanand.

In the year 2015, the makers; Madhu B, and N.V Prasad roped in Seerat Kapoor to play the character of Ganga, in the emotional action entertainer titled, Tiger.
