Katamarayudu is an upcoming Telugu language action film directed by Kishore Kumar Pardasani.
Film features Pawan Kalyan and Shruti Haasan in the lead roles.
Siva Balaji, Kamal Kamaraju, Ajay, Ali, Rao Ramesh, Venu Madhav, Nassar, Chaitanya Krishna, Tarun Arora are seen in supporting roles.
Katamarayudu is an official remake of Tamil blockbuster movie Veeram starring Ajith Kumar and Tamannaah.
After the release of his previous film Sardaar Gabbar Singh, Pawan announced that he would remake Tamil film Veeram in Telugu with S. J. Surya as a director.
The title of the film was announced as Katamarayudu named after the song sung by Pawan from the film Attarintiki Daredi (2013).
However in a sudden turn of events, Suryah left the project to concentrate on acting assignments as he was the main vilain of upcoming movie, Sambhavami and he was replaced by Kishore Kumar Pardasany.
The film began its shoot on September 24 on Secunderabad.
The first look poster of the film was unveiled on October 29, 2016, on the eve of Diwali.
Makers released the teaser on February 4th at 4:00 pm. The teaser has received 1 million views in 2 hours, surpassing the previous Khaidi no 150 record of 3 hrs and became the fastest Telugu film to meet this mile stone.
