Mary Kom is a 2014 Indian biographical sports drama film directed by Omung Kumar and produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Story and screenplay written by Saiwyn Quadras.
The film stars Priyanka Chopra in the lead. Sunil Thapa, Darshan Kumaar, Shishir Sharma and Zachary Coffin also star in the movie.
The sports action director for Chak De! India and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, coordinated the sports action sequences for the film. Based on the life of the Indian boxer Mary Kom.

Priyanka Chopra visited Kom's hometown in Manipur as a familiarization to learn more about the life of Mary Kom.
The filming was postponed for a while due to lead character Priyanka Chopra's father's death, and it resumed on 17 June 2013 at Filmistan in Mumbai.
The film had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, which will be held from 4 September to 11 September 2014.
The film was released on September 5, 2014 in approximately 1,600 to 1,800 screens across India.
On release, the film received generally positive responses from critics.
The film is said to have filmed real life boxers to make all scenes realistic and authentic as possible.
