German luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz on Monday launched the BS-VI compliant Long Wheelbase E-Class sedan in India priced between Rs 57.5 lakh and Rs 62.5 lakh. The New Long Wheelbase E-Class features two BS-VI compliant petrol and diesel engines along with a host of new interior features, Mercedes-Benz India said. |

BERLIN: German giant Mercedes-Benz said on Monday it wants to stop selling traditional combustion engine cars by 2039 and plans for its new vehicles sold worldwide by that time to be carbon-neutral. "We aim to have a carbon-neutral new passenger car fleet in 20 years," said Ola Kallenius, current head of Mercedes research, who is to succeed Dieter Zetsche as chairman of the Daimler group next week. |

India’s largest luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz has received the highest rank in the JD Power 2018 India Customer Service Index (Luxury) study; it scored 903 points. This study surveys luxury vehicle owners who visit authorised service centres for maintenance and repair work. The company took the highest rank in the study for the second year on the trot, after topping the study in 2014 and 2015 as well. German carmaker Mercedes-Benz has topped sales satisfaction in the luxury vehicles segment followed by rival BMW in India, according to a study by global market research firm JD Power. According to the J D Power 2018 India sales satisfaction index (luxury) study, Mercedes-Benz with a score of 903 ranks highest followed by BMW and Audi at second and third positions with scores of 900 and 888, respectively. |
