A real estate investment trust (REIT), the company owns or partially owns about 15 regional shopping centers totaling some 13 million sq. ft. of leasable space. Major tenants include Marks & Spencer, Debenhams, and Boots. Liberty International demerged its London-focused property arm Capital & Counties in 2010 and took the name of its Capital Shopping Centres retail arm. (The split-off Capital & Counties operates as a separately listed non-REIT.)
