| QSC AG |  | DSL for Deutschland could be the slogan for QSC (formerly QS
Communications). Capitalizing on European telecommunications
deregulation, QSC is taking on Deutsche Telekom by offering
high-speed Internet access via DSL to residential and
business customers in Germany. QSC's network, upgraded in
2005 to Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) capability,
extends to more than 200 cities. Although the company does
serve residential customers, its primary segments consist of
commercial businesses and wholesalers and retailers. CEO
Bernd Schlobohm and supervisory board member Gerd Eickers
founded the company in 1999, and each owns 10%; Baker
Capital owns about 25% of the company.
