| The United Performing Arts Fund |  | The United Performing Arts Fund (UPAF), a nonprofit organization based in Milwaukee, has raised over $217 million in support of the performing arts. In 2010, UPAF's annual community-wide fundraising campaign is allocating over $7.1 million to 34 Member and Affiliate performing arts organizations throughout Southeastern Wisconsin. The United Performing Arts Fund's Member and Affiliate Groups produce high quality performances that have the power to amaze and astound us, strengthen our sense of community, provoke our tears and make us laugh out loud. The performing arts express human virtue and enrich our lives. UPAF Member Groups provide over 2,000 local performances of live theater, music, dance, and opera each year. These performances allow us to find solace, entertainment and diversion.
