The not-for-profit organization is dedicated to providing health care support and emergency relief to people in developing countries, as well as victims of disasters and war. Direct Relief International gives medicine, supplies, and equipment through partnerships with local groups that make specific requests and coordinates distribution. Citing a "national health insurance and budgetary crisis," the group also has partnered with nonprofit clinics and commmunity health centers to provide medical care and medicine for homeless and low-income people in California.
